Dale was born in Loudon, TN and spends the majority of his time as a clinical pharmacy specialist in Infectious Diseases. He obtained his B.A degree at Carson-Newman College (now Carson-Newman University), Doctor of Pharmacy from Mercer University, Pharmacy Residency in I.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina and Fellowship from the University of Georgia.

For many years, he has had an interest in photography with a Kodak instamatic being his first camera then some years later progressed to the world of 35mm with his Canon AE-1. Photography remained simply a hobby until he began taking photography courses through the University of Tennessee non-credit program. This year, he completed the UT Photographic Certification. In order to receive this high distinction among photographers, one must successfully complete 160 hours of specialized training and display an exhibit of one's own photographic images for review and viewing.

Dale's interest in photography lies in the areas of landscaping, wildlife, macro photography and portraits. Just like in pharmacy, he is fascinated with the continual learning opportunities. Every photo shoot is a learning adventure.
